This poem revolves around the strong concept of dreaming within a dream, which is quite a hypothetical concept. While he has been helping them out, he also is trying to find a way for them to return to their true home.

I think her editor needs to double check her books.

We are right there with her! Something crazy happened I had this feeling of death 2 days ago then an hour later my mom called me and said my dog died. I don't know how I didn't read this already. There is absolutely nothing that stays forever in life. Lily is a witch but does not know how important of a witch she is until Larkin shows up. Once I got through the first bit of the book, it seemed to go faster. An interesting cinematic example would be the movie Inception, which deals directly with dreaming and explores the ideas of dreaming with a dream.

Deep down inside, the poem may also refer to astral projection or astral traveling, wherein the dreamer has out of body experiences.
